Is my best friend gay?

Hi, my name is Anna and I think that my best friend is gay.What's the sign that can tell me that he is gay and how can I get him to admit to his sexuality? He gave me signs before, like for example, when we had sexual relations together he wasn't able to make love. Thank you in advance.

An inability to make love to a woman could be a sign that your friend is gay (although some gay guys can fake it by fantasizing about a man during sexual intercourse). What is his attitude toward the opposite sex? If the women in his life are platonic buddies, or if there are no women in his life other than yourself, he's probably gay. You might feel him out a bit by talking about men you find attractive and seeing his reaction, or ask him what women he finds attractive. Does he blush or seem uncomfortable with either subject? If so, that's a clue, but by no means iron-clad proof. Since he is your best friend, you might consider just asking him, but in a kind, gentle way. A more demanding approach in which the question sounds like an accusation would likely lead to denials on his part. Unless you find him in bed with a man, the best proof is when he's willing to say "I'm gay."
