One's Out, One's In

Dear Brian,
Hi, there's a gay guy in work and being gay myself, I don't know how to approach him. He is out to a few  people and I'm not, so I want to ask him for advice and tell him I fancy him. How should I do this?

Dear Luthur,
You could come right out and just tell him that you fancy him, but if you feel that's a little too forward, confess to him that you're gay and closeted. Express admiration for the more open approach he takes to his sexuality.  Ask him about his coming out experience and seek his advice on how to come out yourself.  In time, the way you feel about him will be apparent and he can take it from there.  If you're too shy for that approach, get chummy with the people who know he's gay.  Let them know that you are also gay and that you don't know many other homosexuals.  They might take the hint and decide the two of you need to be introduced.  They may even want to play matchmaker.
