The Best Gifts:
Sexy I O U's
A trip to New Orleans for a long weekend. :-)
I cooked a very fancy meal, and presented hubby with a candlelit dinner, then put on great music and danced.
Anything my mom gave me as a child when we exchanged gifts.
She baked me a load of my favorite cookies, and put them in a heart shaped box she decorated herself.
A Beauty & Beast snowglobe well worth over $100 dollars. Also the snowglobe played the theme song to Beauty & Beast.
Last year, I was alone for valentines day and wasn't expecting anything because I wasn't dating anybody serious. Anyways, I was shocked to receive a federal express package from my good friend Chris, who lives in another city. Inside the box, he had filled it with Godiva chocolates, candles, a tape of music, and paper dolls and books on fashion. He also wrote me a sweet note about what an inspiring and wonderful person I am ...........it was the best valentines day gift ever because it was truly thoughtful and a total surprise!
Last year I recieved a diamond heart charm after only dating the guy for a month.
I haven't really ever had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day, so everytime it comes around, I get a little depressed watching all the couples. Well, my junior year of high school, ALL my friends were taken and I knew I was going to feel lonely. I had been whining about it the day before V-day to my sister and her boyfriend, who happened to be seniors at the time. The next day, as I walked into my second period class, there was a teddy bear, card, and bouquet of flowers sitting my desk from my sister and her boyfriend. The card said, "Just a way to make you feel special on Valentine's Day. We love you." It was the best.
I gave all of my friends personalized poems about why they are special, unique, and wonderful people and attached some candy to each card.
My boyfriend had my best friend drop off a rose with a note with it. It said to meet him at my families cabin. When I got there he had a trail of rose petals leading up to the front door. There was a very romantic card and chocolates. I kept following the petals into the cabin. A little ways in, there was another card and more candy. A little further along the petal path I found a table set for 2 with dinner he cooked, a dozen roses and wine. Finally I found the end of the trail in the bedroom. The bed was covered in petals with him lying there in his birthday suit holding a single red rose. My breathe was taken away because all he said was "I LOVE U". We are still together and are excited about having our first child.
A nice little poem written for me and a romantic candle light dinner.
My boyfriend at the time (ex bf now) was in a band and on valentines day they performed on stage at a club. When he finished singing his 2nd to last song he called me up on stage and told me he loved me and sang a song to me and when the song was over confetti and balloons fell from the ceiling then he asked me to marry him. Unfortunitly we broke up a year after but that was still the best valentine's day present ever.
My husband left a dozen red roses on the kitchen table for me to find when I woke up. There was a note telling me to push "Play" on the CD player. My romantic husband had programmed the CD to play Rod Stewart's "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You".
My fiance and I first got together over Valentine's Day so it will always be a special day for us to share with each other! Last year we were both still living at home with out parents and decided to just spend the evening together at his dads house. When I was driving to his dads I got a text message saying there was a change of plans and that I was to meet him at Room 11 at the hotel nearby. When I went there, he had our favorite chinese dinners on the dinner, candle light, roses, a few gifts, including a past/present/future necklace, and in the background he has a CD full of love songs for us to dance for! He still to this day continues to surprise me with wonderful things each and every day!
My boyfriend of two years told me he loved me.
The best gift I ever received was a white gold promise ring with a 3 karat diamond. He said it was a promise ring and made many promises. Wow I can't wait to see how big the engagement ring is going to be, not to mention the wedding ring!
My boyfriend gave me a dozen roses and one fake one and wrote in the card "my love will last till the last rose dies." So it never will die since he put a fake on in there...
My husband and I have started taking turns planning romantic Valentine's Days each year. Last year was his turn. He planned our trip to New Hope, PA all by himself. We stayed at a place called The 1740 House which is a beautiful inn on the Delaware river. It was cold and snow was threatening, but we went anyway. Our room faced the river and on the way up we saw all the old historic houses with their welcome candles in the windows. Even though we had to cut our visit short because of the snow storm of Feb 2003; I will always remember that he planned the whole thing by himself without me even knowing where we were going.
My boyfriend and I had been dating for about six months, so when Valentines day rolled around i wanted to do something really special. I took a shoebox and covered it in romantic magazine pictures and words. Inside i put a few mementos from our relationship and a letter about how much i loved him. I explained to him that it was to save pictures, letters, or whatever he thought was worthy from our relationship. The box is totally full now.
The Best gift i ever received was last Valentines day. My boyfriend had planned to take me to a nice dinner at my favorite restaurant but before we left, i found a dozen red roses on my bed with a little card that said "I'll love you 'till the last one dies." At first i thought he had failed his attempt at being romantic and said, "well i guess you won't love me that long after all!" but then he walked up behind me, grabbed my hand and said, "What if one of them is fake?" It was so sweet and unforgettable, i even have the fake rose to this day.
When my bf got home he wasnt especting much and i knew the first thing he does when he gets home is have a shower, so i filled the bathtub and put rose petals and candles all around. it looked very romantic.
I spent a really long time decorating a box which I called the love box. Inside I put many things such as candy, a card, a picture frame and a roll of film because he's always saying he needs a picture of us. Lastly in the box I gave him homeade coupons such as: free backrub, night out with the guys, home cooked meal, 1 on 1 time for us for at least 15 min., etc. He loved it and takes good advantage of the coupons! HaHa!
The best Valentines gift i ever recieved was 4 dozens roses and a hug and a kiss!!!!!!!!!!
The best Valentine's day gift I ever got from my boyfriend was a soapcard in the shape of a heart. I love new ideas and original thought so this soapcard idea was simply awsome.
My ex bf came to surprise me at college, he was so thoughtful :) it's too bad our schools are so far away!
A framed picture of us.
A threesome with my gf and her older sister who was 2 years older.
A giant teddy bear, and a bouquet of about 2 dozen carnations with 1/2 dozen of roses mixed in it.
Since last year was our first year together, it was special. I was in high school then and didn't expect much because he was too. But I was soo surprised. He showed up at my house with a dozen balloons, roses, and cards. I was blushing pink until he took my breath away when he went back to his car and got a heart shaped basket with every scent Victoria's Secret had in stock. Then we went to a nice cozy dinner for two where he told me he loved me for the very first time.
A guy had taken me out for my hair and nails done. After words we went to an expencive and fancy resturant then he took me to his place and set up some music and candles. A singing teddy bear, a rose, and a card.
14 reasons why I love him.
One year I broke into my boyfriend's house and decorated his room in Valentine's Day stuff. I'm talking OVERKILL! There wasn't a spot in his room that wasn't red, white, or pink! And then I hid in the other room in some new lingerie. And so I surprised him when he got home and we christened the bed which was covered in rose petals.
Flowers, a gift certificate for my nails, stuffed kissing monkeys, and bath oils and lotions.
A big bouquet of reddish orange roses unexpected, and we werent even really going out, and a sweet poem from his heart sooo sweet...
He is overseas but still managed to get me a sweet poem he wrote and flowers and a day at this nice ritzy spa.

When I was 14, I had two Valentines. So that meant two sets of everything!!! The only bad part was that they brought them to me around the same time so I got busted! And not just by them but when my mother found out there was HELL to pay!!!!
I put so much thought into my gifts it is hard to think of the best. For me the best I have given was making a nice homemade meal, along with renting a good movie, great sex, and saying I love you! The next day I bought him a watch.
I spent 50 dollars on roses and chocolates. I got a huge ballon with a teddy bear in it and I got him his vinyl work done on his car.
An engagement ring...everyone knew he was going to propose except me. I was truly surprised!
Well the best gift I ever received was not from any boyfriend and defently not from my boyfriend now of 6 years! It was honestly from my parents- A Lab. puppy. My parents placed a red hankie on her neck, let the little pup in the bathroom while I was in the shower. This little Black Lab scared me....I felt something licking my leg while my eyes were closed washing my hair. I did get soap in my eyes from over-reacting. But, it was worth it.....So, my best gift was from my parents!
A homemade dinner. I was just learning to cook and it came out great!
A dozen white roses from my best friend who is a guy. We weren't romantically linked and have never been but this particular Valentine's Day i was recently single and rather miserable because of it so he did it to cheer me up.
An autographed oil painting of Goldberg (the wrestler)
A 1991 Toyota Celica!
A ruby ring, romantic dinner in a Italian restaurant by a beautiful lake, and a romantic getaway at a ritzy hotel - all by the same guy who I dated for only 4 months.
My boyfriend's birthday is on Valentine's Day, so I really did not expect anything too special, but he really surprised me. We were in high school at the time and Valentine's Day morning, I came to my locker and he had put flowers, ballons and hearts all over it with sentiments that we had experienced together on the hearts. On the top shelf of the locker was a diamond and white gold heart necklace- i almost cried!!!

Plus that day i got a flower arrangement from my ex step mother who i love, one from my father and a ruby necklace from my mother! I luv ya BB
An action figure. It was of a character I liked and he knew I loved toys and junk so it was really thoughtful and tailored to what I like.
My husband painted a 15 ft.(maybe bigger)flourescent heart with our intials and 4EVA on the snow outside our bedroom window for our 16th Valentine/Anniversary. On our 21st Valentine/ Anniversary he bought me a miniature rose bush and snipped it so that there were exactly 21 blooms on it! But the greatest thing is that he has made me smile EVERY DAY for 25 years and Valentines Day is just icing on the cake! I adore YOU.

I made my sweetheart a website just for her. On Valentine's Day we are taking a trip to the library (where I have arranged for it to be the homepage on every one of their PC's).
He kicked me out of my apartment for a while. When I came back, there were flowers all over the apartment, laid out. There were flowers in the center of the table. He had cooked dinner. After dinner, he told me to follow the red ribbon which led inside of my room. There was a pink angel teddy bear and a present. The present was a picture he had drawn (he draws abstract art). He said that the picture was one he knew he would give to the woman he would marry.
When my husband came home after a long day at work, he came in the room to find me and I had put red and white light all around the posts of our bed. Anf I was there, in a sexy new lingerie. Waitting for him. Then after I gave myself to him, I had his favorite dinner ready for him..

A guy knew I loved Tigger and bought me these cute Tigger silk boxer shorts and a large stuffed Tigger that talked. It was so cute and unexpected, and it showed he really paid attention to what I said.
My boyfriend {ex} and I had been going out for about 1 1/2 years, and he knew I loved to go on trips to beaches around the US. For v-day he gave me doz roses, candys, a soft black teddy bear with a heart and a trip to Virginia Beach. The One out of 4 beaches I hadn't gone to yet.
I gave my best friend {a guy} a teddy bear, huge candy lips and a few football jerseys of his fav teams.
I dated a guy who loved Pier One and had just bought a new house. SO I made him a gift basket with candles, crystal glasses and decorations for his house. He loved it.
I went home to my apartment after a very long day at work and opened the door to find that my boyfriend (now husband) had snuck into my apartment and carefully placed dozens of Hershey kisses all over the living room and bedroom floors. At the end of the hershey kiss trail, there were 3 long stem roses and a huge poster that said "I kiss the ground you walk on. Happy Valentine's Day!." It was by far the best valentine's day gift that I had ever received. Now you can see why I married him! My boyfriend and I were 15 hours away from each other on Valentine's Day, so I mailed him a date. It included a video of his favorite movie, a bag of popcorn, milk duds and lots of hershey kisses. I was the only part of the gift that was missing.
A diamond pendant.
Some roses, and taking me out to dinner and then dancing.
A book of our pictures together and little notes saying why the picture meant so much.
Lots of cute mushy things with a very well planned romantic night at home.
A teddy bear, and chocolate.
My journal about him.
I created a picnic for my ex with all his favorite food, and then took him to a hotel room that I had decorated with candles and rose petals.
He gave me a great night of laughter and fun with movies and a nice dinner, and of course a single rose :) The last and the best part of the night was kissing him, we are still together today, a year later! and nothing can get better!
Telling him I loved him for the first time--we both thought it was the best gift ever!
I'm in High School and didn't expect much from my boyfriend. I figured he would get me a couple of roses and candy. But he surprised me with red, white (with pink tips) and hot pink roses with one fake rose in the middle. The card read, I will love you till the last rose dies! (Since the fake rose won't die he will love me forever) Not only that he took me to an expensive dinner, where, in his car, he had rose petals, chocolates and a heart necklace.
The best valentine's gift I ever received was the chance to spend the entire night with my ex-girlfriend (gf at the time). she had a facial infection, and luckily the medicine she received on valentine's cured it pretty fast. I spent the entire day making rigatoni from scratch, and I had a blast just eating dinner with her. And, of course, getting close to her that evening.
I spent a week deciding what to give my girlfriend. I bought a bag, a stuffed animal, flowers, a CD she wanted for a while, and candy. I put them all in the bag (except for the flowers, which I put together myself) and I skipped two classes to take them to her school. I dropped them off at the main office and asked them to call her up front during the day.
The best thing I've ever given the love of my life, is a sexy silver necklace for his sexy neck!
A sweet smile from the guy I love, and an evening out, shopping and dinner, at a fancy restaurant!!!
A ring.
I was living with my boyfriend and I wanted to surprise him when he came home from work. I left a trail of Hershey's kisses from the front door, to our bedroom, up onto the bed. When he came into our room, his hands full of Hershey's kisses, I was sitting at the head of the bed, dressed only in tinfoil. He loved unwrapping and savoring all his Hershey's kisses!
A motorcycle!
My bf at the time and i had a lot of our own little secrets with each other and funny things others didn't have, so for Valentine's day he got me 3 things; a little glass lady bug and a chocolate wrapped like ladybugs, becuase my nick name from him is ladybug and a special ring that is celtic and means union he put so much thought into it all and i didn't even give him a clue as to what to get.
The best v-day present i ever got was 3doz roses and a card that said damn, we look cute together.
Diamond necklace.
A basket of goodies
My boyfriend invited me to his school on Valentine's day...he's in college and i didn't expect anything since his school is in the middle of nowhere...when i walked in there was a candle lit dinner that he cooked by himself...3 beautiful red roses and a "reserved for Jennifer" card for me...it was so romantic and he was so cute because he kept on worrying how his cooking was....i love him with all of HIS heart (he stole mine and i stole his).
Candy, a stuffed animal
When I was dating my boyfriend of 3 years he took me in a limo to a fancy restaurant in the city and to see the play Rent. On top of that he gave me roses and a cute gift. What a day, and we were still in high school!
An engraved photo album with tons of memories in it. I think the best gifts come from your heart, not something that is easily bought.
A kiss and a hug and a big teddy bear
Handcuffs
One year my then girlfiend, now wife, gave me a small red bottle filled with my favorite wine. On the outside she wrote "Love Potion #9"
A trip to Cyprus
A red antique bicycle with a front head light!
Valentine's Day fell on a day that my fiance had to work all day, so we decided that the day before V-Day would be his day to treat me, and then on V-Day, after he got home from work late at night, I would treat him. He took me out to dinner, he gave me a dozen red roses, a box of chocolates, a teddy bear, and a few other little gifts. It meant so much to me because no one has ever been so thoughtful on a holiday for me before!
I spent two weeks making a decorative box for my fiance last Valentine's Day. I cut pictures and special words out of magazines, photocopied them, and then glued them along with colorful construction paper and pictures of flowers onto the outside of a box. I put so much work and love into it; it was beautiful!
An abalone heart, hand-crafted by my eighteen-year-old boyfriend Craig. I was madly in love and all of 15. We drove out to a secluded little road in Livermore, Calif. where he presented me with this heart. I will never forget it. I was so in love with him, and the time he took in crafting that ... It's such a shame I've since lost it! The other was a poem from my outgoing boyfriend on the eve of our breakup. I was dating another guy, a rich guy who sent me a dozen roses. My soon-to-be ex wrote a poem entitled, "I Never Sent you A Dozen Roses" that I treasure to this day ...It's lasted a lot longer than the expensive flowers from a man whose name I forget...
I had received his attention all day! it was cool:)
Last year, I received a engagement ring which was a TOTAL surprise. Both of us had been married previously to other people and he is several years (14) older than me but we knew that we were going to one day get married...we had been dating for almost 2 years when he proposed. He had the ring specially made for me...he picked it all out....2 1/4 carat platinum and 18k gold ring...its so stunning it takes my breath away everytime I look at it. Hopefully we will get married sometime this year. I can't wait to spend my life with him...there is never a dull moment when we are together!!
He proposed to me over the Fourth of July in the hospital for an illness he had. I was wearing his ex-wive's engagement ring. I told him for Christmas I wanted my own ring. Not only did he buy me the ring of my dreams, but the first time it touched my fingers was at a romantic dinner on Valentine's Day.
On our first Vday together he gave me 2 roses. One white and one red. They are my fav. He also got me a teddy bear that said I love you on it. He wrote me a long letter telling me how much he loved me. When, he brought me home from going out to eat a the Olive Garden he asked me to marry him and gave me a ring.
My boyfriend put hundreds of rose petals in my car and when I went in there was a huge card that said " I love you wit hall my heart!"
My boyfriend flew all the way home from England (where he is was doing study abroad) to be with me for Valentine's Day! :)
... I bought him a leather journal; where I filled it with poems and stories of us and our future.
I live in a really cold climate in Colorado (the coldest in all of The United States). It was my first year here, my boyfriend knew how cold it got. We had a fight the night before Valentines, the next day he went out and got me a new coat, saying "Now you never have to be alone or cold, every time you wear this, you take me with you. Besides, it is stuffed with goose down."
I knew that she loved The Phantom of the Opera. I know some friends that could sing very well, so I had them come over and sing one of the songs from the play to her.
I knew that she would be busy for Valentine's Day so I didn't exspect much, but when I came home from work that day she had bought enough balloons to fill my bedroom and staggered them all over the room. Then she had thrown confetti all over and left a picture of herself and and big Hershey's kiss on my bed. I slept on the couch for a week not to disturb the whole scene.
My bf had 25 people all call and leave messages on my phone machine that said "Hi Caroline, I just called to let you know that James loves you very much and he wants to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!"
We used to make out on the carpet of his living room, so on Vday, he gave me a little glass bottle filled with candy hearts and carpet lint. The message said- 'I love rolling around on the carpet with you.' Awww.
I gave two dozen roses to my boyfriend, and he started to cry. He said that no one had ever done that for him.
Every year he gave me a pair of wooden hearts, that he'd made at the shop. They were hinged like a book, and had a different message each time. I would stack them up on my nightstand.
He didn't have a lot of money at the time, so he wrote a short story about us, it was very romantic and sweet.
I bought a box of valentines day cards, and hid them all over the house. All day long she'd find them scattered. It was cute to see her peeking around looking for them.
We don't exchange expensive or elaborate gifts for valentines day. We try to come up with something that is unusual and personal. One year I made a giant "hershey's kiss" out of news paper and covered it with aluminum foil. I stuck a long white strip of paper out of the top that had our names on it with a big red heart between our names. It was awesome!!!
He was supposed to be at work all day and i was sad, and missing him, i went out and when i came back a gift was on my kitchen table, it was a photo cube full of pictures of us together, and one of the pics was of roses, i went to my room and there was a dozen red roses, and a card. i opened the card and there was a picutre of my boyfriend standing in my doorway, i turned around and there he was!!
My girl friend bought me the full addition of the historical review of the Napoleonic Wars.
I bought my girlfriend a $700 necklace with matching earings.
While still in high school, my boyfriend had a friend secretly sneak into everyone of my classrooms and leave a homemade card with a sweet little message saying...this is your homeroom rose, this is your 1st period rose, etc. He even went through all the trouble to get my locker combination off our janitor and leave me a card in there for the end of the day. That night, he showed up at my house with a dozen roses, took me out to a nice Italian restaurant (he was even dressed incredibly well) and then gave me a gold ring with a small heart. This was only three months into our relationship and we're in college now, still together and happy after two years!
My boyfriend knows how much I love Tom Hanks, and he got me 6 of Tom's best movies.
My birthday is on valentines day, so I recieve a lot of birthday/v-day gifts from boyfriends. I personally don't like that, because it's pretty cheap. not that the cost is that important, but that he takes the easiest way out. Anyway, for my eighteenth birthday, my ex told me he had to work all day, which for him means from one in the afternoon, till ten at night. But he had it arranged so that every half an hour, something was delivered to my house. He sent single red roses, cards, little boxes of chocolates, that sort of stuff, and they all had little tags that said Happy Valtentines day. That was more than I was expecting, so imagine my suprise when he showed up at the front door with a horse drawn carriage, and two dozen red roses. My parents were in on it, and told me they were going to take me out to dinner for my b-day, so I was dressed to go out anyway. He took me out to dinner at a very fance restaurant and then took to his house, wher! e all of my friends were waiting for us. They'd hired a live band (we all do swing dancing) and set up japanese laterns, clear christmas light and stuff like that on the patio. Later he said that the cards and flowers were for v-day, and dinner and the party were for my birthday, because I deserved better than to have my "special days" cut off.
My guy was living in a little apartment, and since he can't cook, he was eating nothing but MacDonalds. He also can't clean (although he does try) and was always upset 'cause his place was a mess whenever I came over. I rounded up some friends, and while he was at work, we cleaned the whole place till it shone. Then I cooked him fettucini alfredo with all the trimmings and set the table for two, with candles and flowers, the whole nine yards. I hid in the bathroom when he came home so I could see his reaction, and then stepped out behind him while he was staring in a stupor.
My fiance and I were 9 hours away from each other on Valentine's Day, but that didn't stop him from making it the most romantic day. For two months he had cut out over 50 small hearts. He wrote little memories about the two of us on them and drew pictures. It was stuff that only the two of us would know what they meant. He put them all in a little heart ceramic container and mailed it too me. I cried and still cherish it today.
I sent my boyfriend 25 helium balloons and 2 dozen roses at the place that he works.
A gift basket full of romantic stuff.
