We met on Date.com in May 2003. We started chatting for sometime, and we also used voice chat/webcam. We used to chat for 6 to 7 hours everyday, and later on in the day start talking on the phone. He used to send me flowers and gifts - I was so impressed. He came to visit me in October 2003. I was so nervous to meet him at first that I made him wait for four hours until my friend finished work. We met in a restaurant on Halloween night. Even though I made him wait for so long he was still not mad at me. For me it takes long time to adjust to a new person whom I have not met before. Tim was more than what I had thought. Very kind, patient and respectful. We do have things in common, such as watching movies, traveling, hiking, etc. He took a two week holiday just to meet me, and used to wait all day to receive my call as I was working. Nothing happened on our first meeting.

After he return back to Hawaii, we still chatted and talked on the phone as usual. On January 2004, my friend made a plan to visit Hawaii, and I thought I could also meet Tim, so went there and stayed at his place with his family. His parents were so happy to see his son bringing home a girlfriend, and they were very nice to me. Even his mom took me shopping like I was her daughter. I was so impressed with his parents. I found myself starting to have feelings for him.

After I returned to Hong Kong, he started to call me everyday many times, sending flowers, gifts, and post cards which made me so happy. I thought he was the person who would make me happy until the end of the time and that he might be the right one for me.

In August 2004, he came to visit me again in Hong Kong while my best friend was also visiting from Nepal. We went on a cruise together to Singapore, Macau and our love grew more and more. Eventually he met my family, sisters, and most of all my son really liked him so I decided that he was the right one for me - the one that I have always dreamt of. And Tim was very nice to my sister's kid. He even met most of my girlfriends and they all said that we are a good match and they all liked him so much. After he returned to Hawaii from this memorable trip, he decided to marry me. He wanted to propose to me on his birthday which was October 23rd, 2004 so he came back to Hong Kong. I took him on a cruise for his birthday and we went to Phuket, Thailand. That night he proposed me on the cruise with a diamond ring. It was a perfect time and a perfect moment with the right man. So we planned to marry on my birthday/Valentine's Day in February 2005. Everything was set up so well, the timing of the engagement and the date of our wedding.

We had a wonderful wedding in Honolulu and are now husband and wife. We would like to thank Date.com from the bottom of our heart for making us one. I never thought that a long distance relationship would workout through the internet and yet it did happen, so now I can proudly tell all my friends that Date.com is the best website to meet your life partner. I am very grateful to this wonderful website.
