Jan. 5th, 2005: "Against all odds, I have met the man of my dreams, my best friend, and the true love of my life. I was just starting to go through a very long divorce when I met my love online. I was not even sure what I was looking for, perhaps just some friends, but when he emailed me, we talked that very night and have been inseparable ever since. We have overcome many, many obstacles on our journey together. We started out living just over two hours apart. So, in the beginning, we had to maintain most of our relationship via telephone and instant messenger. This never seemed to be much of a problem for us, we always made the best out of the little time we have had together. Almost one year after we first met, I began to spend most of my time with him in his town. The obstacle before that was a custody issue that I had that was preventing me from moving to be with him. I spent almost all last summer with him, and since school has started, we are back to seeing each other somewhat less again. In fact, most people would view our relationship as "odd" or as "too difficult", and it can be sometimes, like when we are forced to be apart once again for almost a week at a time, but all-in-all, we have a fantastic love. We have a love for each other that most people search a life time to find...and some never do. We became engaged this past October 17th, 2004, and plan to marry fairly soon. Our only obstacle left is one more custody battle for me, and then we can be relatively "free" to finally be together on an everyday basis, like we deserve to be." |
