Online Conversational Tips

Dear Brenda,

I have been chatting with someone I met online for a couple of weeks now. I finally got up the nerve to ask her out and we have a date for this weekend. I find that when I am chatting online I run out of things to say. I just hope this doesn't happen on our upcoming date. Is there anything you would suggest I say or do to keep the conversation going?

There's an old salesman's trick that goes like this: People find you infinitely fascinating when you ask them questions about them. So pick up a book of questions at the local bookstore and keep it near your computer.

I have this book: The Book of Fabulous Questions: Great Conversation Starters About Love, Sex and Other Personal Stuff and it comes in pretty handy.
