I'm Too Shy to Call Him

I met this guy through my friends. And he is perfect. He's sweet, handsome, and has an excellent personality. And one day he wanted me to call him, but I never did because I am very shy. When I saw him in school a couple days later, someone told me he had a girlfriend, and I got really upset. I cried for about two days straight. I think we could have a really good relationship. I want to tell him how I feel, but I am too shy. I thought about forgetting about how shy I am and just tell him, but I can't. What should I do?

The answer is in your question: "I thought about forgetting about how shy I am and just tell him..." Now forget about what originally followed the ellipses ("but I can't") and call him. HE WANTS YOU TO CALL HIM. How much of a sign do you need? Everyone is shy to some extent, and that may even be true of this sweet, handsome stud with the excellent personality. He put aside his shyness when he asked you to call him. Now you should return the favor by trying to put your shyness aside and fulfilling his request. If you don't, he may think you're not interested which would only encourage him to pursue someone else, perhaps the girlfriend he is rumored to have already. You'll never get what you want if you don't make an effort to get it. You want him, don't you? Go get him!

P.S. It can be intimidating to call a guy, especially if you're shy, and you don't have a lot of experience doing so, so... when a guy asks you to call him, you could also respond by giving him your phone number and asking him to call you. I have a very cute guy friend who for some reason, was too shy to call women, and one day he met a great girl at a party. He mustered up the courage to call her, but when he heard her answering machine, he quickly hung up, and wasnt going to call her again. But she saw his caller ID on her phone, and called him back. This was years ago. They're picking out engagement rings now.
