How do I start a potential long distance relationship?

Comment from GiaJolie
Brian this is a brilliant advise. I'm in a long distance relationship (sort of) and it ain't working for me. The other person isn't good in communication and that drives me nuts because I never know when next I'm going to hear from her. Anyhow, I've decided to end it (after 6 months or chatting). I wish Taurus a very happy and successful union with the other person.

Long distance relationships do not work...... what if you need her to be with you in the most difficult time and she is unable to get to you the first thing you do is seek comfort from another..... the trust will never b there. Do some homework get a person closer to you the risk in long term is giving so much your expences will climb to the roof and at the end of the day you could have saved the best you need is always close to home.

I would advice you to be straight forward with her. It is better you get straight to point and let her know your feelings about her. Try to develop a closer relationship with her.

Taurus, My Girlfriend, or should I say Partner, lives in N.J. Piscataway to be precise. I know Rhode Island too, that looks like a great place, we went through it on the way to Province town M.A. last year, a wonderful place if you've not been you'll have to go, it's got a great atmosphere there and very Gay friendly. The thing is she is from N.J. I am from Bedford U.K. Now that's what I call long distance. As it turns out too long because we have had to call it a day because it is impossible for me to get into the country and hard for her to come to the U.K. So much so that after three wonderful years together, we ended it last week, both of us heartbroken, because it wasn't fair on either of us being apart all the time and only seeing one another, six weeks a year although last year I was in the States for three months, before I had to return. So New Jersey to Rhode Island is quite a way but seems like nothing to me, if only we had only that far apart we would still be together today. At least you are in the same country. I say go for it and the very best of luck to you.

Long distance relationships don't work!! Unless there is a very strong commonality of interests!
