READERS RESPOND
The Loving Gift of Being Fully Present

Comment from BluMn00
Thank you, that was a fantastic article. I hope so badly that my ex sees and reads it too. He always tried to make me feel like I was the jerk for wanting his attention, without distraction. All I wanted was for him to listen to and talk with me, and really BE THERE. Everyone else was more important. Heck, even the TV was more important. He wouldn't even turn off his cell phone when we were suposed to be having a day off just for us. Looking back, I see what a completely childish, selfish creep he was and still is I'm sure. I feel sorry for the next woman who has to go through the hopelessness that is loving him. Anyway, thanks for the articles, I really do enjoy them and try to put them to use in my daily life.

It's about time!! Finally, an article that deals with how being present and listening. My last boyfriend never learned how to truly listen; he'd always cause arguments by processing everything I said through his own perceptions and he'd assign meanings to things I said that were 100% opposite of where I was coming from. I really believe a series about how to be fully present and to listen would really help your readers.

It would be nice to again, have a partner to come home to, or wait for coming home.

a good conversation with the one you love is a factor in a excellent relationship, there is nothing better then a sit down conversation and listening and having the opportunity to have them listen to you. Like a delicious sip of fine wine.

I think this is an excellent strategy in distressing before you talk to your loved ones. Many of us forget that we are still in a work frame of mind when we get home. I have tried this exercise and found it very beneficial to my listening skills and helps more in communicating with my loved ones. As we all know communication is the Key factor in all good relationships. So I would invite everyone to take a minute to try this exercise, with better listening and communication your bound to have that great long lasting relationship your deserve.

I really appreciate this excerpt, I need to find the book and have it on hand. So many people do not know how to" listen." I wish everyone could read this. Thanks!

What a timely article!! I’ve just had a very deep and meaningful phone conversation toady with my wife. We have been separated amicably now for nearly 2 years, after a marriage of nearly 20 years. Open and honest communication is what keeps us good friends. We were discussing the importance of good communication with each other and our 2 children, and, in that communication, understanding what each person is prepared to COMMIT to in their life, and being prepared to make a STAND for them in that commitment. It was a revelation that had not previously dawned on either of us. All part of listening and being present! Thank you.

An informative and interesting excerpt. There are times when we are aware of these things but neglect to put them into use. We know, yet we ignore. Thank you for the important reminder. I want to be a great mate! Thanks, date.ca.. chic4lczns

That’s a great article .I’ve learnt a lot that's all what and how I do with my family and it's mostly proved successfully. I encourage the author for devoting his efforts to clear and un-complicate the relationship and make it as cool as possible.
