Fast Forward To "Good Night"
Comment from darknight3 I can relate to the issures that were presented within the article: "Fast Forward To Goodnight" but there is another interesting aspect to communication than just phones and broadcasting such as television. There is the annoying essence of Instant Messenging. Just tonight I very politely IM'd an individual who says he wants to make friends with all people. At first he opened up his window and then came the pause. Obviously it had become too apparent that he had checked out my profile and then rudely closed his window without even-so-much-as-a peep. Now mind you, I am not saying that I am the best guy in the world... but, please, give me a break. What he did was a very rude transaction and does not constitute his word for wanting to make friends with all people. Why they say one thing and do another is elastically beyond my comprehension. It's like they take one look at you and you're done. It like that typical statement: wam...bam...thank you...ma'am bit.
Comment from anamali The writer has made some beautiful comments and has shared a lot.
Comment from Gary Unfortunately, too many people today has become too 'plastic'. I have met many sincere people how may not, at first, turn your 'motor on', however, I have become very good friends. Today in this world, we are looking for that 'perfect person', and believe me, that person only exists in our own minds.
Comment from cekvaughn I am a stripper therefore I have had several bad guys hit on me and I have the rejection line memorized. Personally I think its a great idea, I mean really, in my opinion its the greatest thing since sliced peanut butter (it can be purchased in Texas). Anyway, I encourage all my friends to memorize the Rejection line and I check their web site regularly to see if they have an Arkansas rejection line.
Comment from tallp This article is true down to the last comma. Mr. Fairbanks, it was a pleasure reading this article. I'm from the Caribbean where we cannot be as open about our alternate lifestyles but when we have get-togethers, it's the same exact thing so it does not matter where in the world you are, the same things happen.
Comment from samisusa Very interesting.
