Coming Out of the Fictional Closet
I'm a girl and I like other women. My friends are aware of my sexual preference but my family is not. To that it does have an affect on me to not have more gays on TV. and as fictional characters. If there were more openness on TV and through the news, I would feel more at ease to "come out". As if there was support through the openness of others, it almost shows a beginning to acceptance. - TAZALISCIOUS
Brian, you are right on track with this story. I know that I was fascinated with all of the "superheroes" that were around. Awesome story... Thank you. - CA_Highlander
Interesting! I never before thought of the Ponderosa guys being gay. I just enjoyed the show.
Of course, you can't become gay by reading about fictional characters - excellent point. It is just in the same way that God (or whichever divine power you might choose) made us left-handed or right-handed. We can be forced to choose one over the other, but it does not mean we will ever be comfortable with it. In the same way, God made us gay or straight. Who among us has the right to question what God has done? - Allen
