He Doesn't Want a "Solid" Relationship

It may sound like he wants an open relationship... but the real question is do you want that?

If I am in the same situation as your partner I can share my position. I have a handfull of friends left since I came out and don't want to shock them or do anything else to rock the boat away from them being close to me. They understand who I am but I think that they are not comfortable with the situation. There are still little comments being made from time to time in regards to "are you gay or something", "homo", or "fagot". Did they forget how hard it was for me to tell the truth? or are they just bugging me? I find it really confusing. Although I realize that if these "friends" don't like me for who I really am then they aren't my friends at all, but I feel really alone so I want to keep all the friends that I have, that know that I like to suck cock and can handle it. It sound pathetic but I'd rather be around people that know who I am that don't really approve than to be alone. This is the reason why I keep my partners away from my friends, it's like two different groups. Sometimes though they ask about my partner or ask if I am seeing someone, but I think they don't really care or that they are just trying to be polite. But it shouldn't be that way, it should be like Emmet on Queer as Folk that says "Fuck em all". I hope this helps you and yours go further, I think it has also helped me grow a little too.

You seem to be confusing sexual attraction (lust) with love. A "solid" relationship means its a two-way street. Either you accept the bone (no pun intended) he is willing to throw you or move on. Don't think of it as a loss but a lesson. Better yet, add him to your stable of stallions that you ride when its convenient.
